HOMEWORK (Reading): Artful Christmas 30 Elegant Craft Projects
Today’s reading aka book review is just in time for the holidays. Artful Christmas by Susan Wasinger has over 30 elegant craft projects that will make your house beautiful for Christmas without breaking the bank.
I love this clay project using everyday household items to create gorgeous imprints in air dry clay.
Nothing makes me happier than a good recycling project. I am so going to start saving my soda cans so I can make some of these wonderful projects using a variety of craft punches. The author shows us two different styles of Christmas trees.
I’ve seen tutorial for using mirror spray paint to create mercury glass but this project uses the mirror spray paint to create a stenciled decorative design. Gorgeous.
It never dawned on me to use playing cards in crafting. But the backs of cards are so pretty. I just picked out a few projects from the book but there are over 30 amazing ideas – painted ornaments, felt stockings, glittered garlands, advent calendars and more. Each project includes detailed instructions with photos, plus techniques, materials and tools.
I love these vintage toy catalog graphics that you can enlarge and use on your projects.
